How is a UPI mandate created?

After you create a subscription plan and enable customer sign-ups, an authorization request is sent to the customer. The customer can then approve the UPI AutoPay mandate using one of the following flows:

Collect Flow

The customer enters their VPA/UPI ID and selects Proceed
A mandate summary is displayed for confirmation
The customer opens their UPI app and approves the mandate
Once approved, a success screen is shown with the mandate details

Intent Flow

The customer selects their preferred UPI app
The selected UPI app opens with the mandate summary
The customer approves the mandate within the app
The customer is redirected back to checkout with the mandate details displayed

QR Flow

The customer scans the QR code shown on the checkout page using a UPI app
A mandate summary is displayed in the UPI app for review.
The customer approves the mandate
After approval, a success screen is shown with the mandate summary
